Our Plastic Film Extruder manufacturer partner, JinMing debuts at the NPE 2006
One of the big trends that became obvious at the NPE 2006 show is the growing presence of the Asian extrusion equipment manufacturers. The number of Chinese OEMs grew from 5 at NPE ’03 to 30 at NPE ’06. One of them was Jin Ming Plastics Machinery. They are the leading plastic blown film equipment manufacturer in China, and since the tradeshow in 2006, we have become their proud North American agent. Part of the success of Jin Ming and some other Chinese OEMs are the fact that over time they have established good work relationships with some of the key European technology supplier companies. As a result of Jin Ming’s continuous strive for improving quality, their products are competitive at a world class level. This is how Plastics Technology Magazine writes about Jin Ming:
“Some Chinese machine builders have adopted westernized manufacturing techniques. Jwell (Shanghai) Machinery, for example, is ISO 9001 certified. And Jin Ming Plastics Machinery has several years’ experience building oscillating hauloffs for a European maker of blown film extruders and now offers seven- and nine-layer blown film lines itself, though it has a three-layer line for its NPE debut. Jin Ming (North American offices at J.M. Machinery in Canada) incorporates European components such as a Kundig thickness gauge on a manually adjusted, Chinese-built die; and Schneider inverter drives from Germany on Chinese-built AC motors.”

Extruder Machine imported from Jin Ming, a Chinese Plastic Converting Equipment Manufacturer: Dennis Wong of PEC Canada quoted in Plastics Technology Magazine
Plastics Technology Magazine published a fascinating article on Chinese plastic extrusion equipment export to North America. The article reflects to the experience of the first buyers. In the below excerpt of the article Dennis Wong and his company Polynova is mentioned as one of the first success stories of North American companies installing and operating Chinese made co-extrusion blown film lines.
“When Dennis Wong, a Hong Kong émigré to Canada 30 years ago, traveled to China to find a blown film machine, what got his attention about Jin Ming machines was a very clean oscillating nip and haul-off. (Guandong Jin Ming Plastics Equipment Co. in Shantou city, Guangdong province, built haul-offs for several years for Reifenhauser in Germany.) Wong’s converting company Polynova in Richmond, B.C., imported the first Jin Ming blown film line here five years ago, a 3-layer co-ex tower. Wong liked the machine so much he set up PEC-Plastic Equipment Co. (formerly JM Canada) to represent them. This year he replaced the original with a newer line, and sold the older one to a startup company in Vancouver.”
